Our Story
Busy/Bored was created with a simple belief: when screens step back, imagination steps forward.
Our first product — the Wooden Steering Wheel Busy Board — is intentionally designed to feel different. Instead of overstimulating lights or cluttered features, it focuses on real-world interaction: turning a wheel, adjusting dials, flipping switches, and exploring cause and effect through calm, hands-on play.
Inspired by Montessori principles and everyday experiences children recognise, it encourages focus, imagination, and independence — while offering parents a toy that is screen-free, beautifully minimal, and designed to develop real skills.
Crafted from smooth natural wood and finished in soft, calming tones, it’s made to be left out, played with often, and loved for years.
We believe children don’t need more toys — they need better ones.
